Associate Artists


Lauren has been an Associate Artist with Theatre Northwest for the last four seasons. As an actor for TNW, she has performed in Hedda Noir, Half Life, The Drowning Girls, Girl in a Goldfish Bowl, and The Secret Mask. She created Shakespeare Unfolded, which she presented for the city’s 100th anniversary. She produced and assistant directed Isitwendam, a co-production between her company B2C Theatre and TNW. She also created a program, which she has facilitated for the last three years, mentoring and creating work for and with the youth of Fort St. James. She is thrilled to be presenting a reading of her new play Painting the Streets this spring at TNW, which she has been creating with Amy Blanding over the last two years.


Other: Lauren has performed in/created for theatres across the country including Obsidian Theatre, Tapestry New Opera, Canadian Stage, The Grand, Theatre Passe Muraille and Factory Theatre. She received a Dora Award for Outstanding Ensemble for And by the Way Miss (URGE/Theatre Direct) and a Dora Nomination for The Grace Project, co-created with Judith Thompson. Lauren has toured internationally and received the Christopher Plummer Fellowship Award where she trained and performed at Shakespeare’s Globe in London, U.K. She received the Jessica Fraser Award for Outstanding Contributions to Theatre for Young Audiences. Lauren is Artistic Director of B2CTheatre.
