Summer Sewing CampsSewing for Young Children

8yrs – 10yrs | 3 hours per day, 4 days

This class is designed for young children with an interest in learning to sew.
Dates will be:
July 2-5 mornings (9 AM start) or afternoons (1:30 PM start)
Aug 6-9 afternoons (1:30 PM start)

Beginner Class

Ideal age 10yrs – 15yrs | 3 hours per day, 5 days | 1 project per day

Exception: if the child is 8 yrs (minimum age) and experienced with sewing then we can accept from 8yrs. If they are between 10 and 15 years and have no experience this class is still perfect for them.
Dates will be:
July 8-12 mornings (9 AM start)

July 15-19 mornings (9 AM start)
July 22-26 afternoons (1:30 PM start)
Aug 12-16 mornings (9 AM start)
Aug 19-23 afternoons (1:30 PM start)

Intermediate Class

Ideal age 12yrs – 17yrs |3 hours per day, 5 days | 4 projects over 5 days

Exception: Age for experienced 10yrs, Age for inexperienced starts at 12yrs

This class is great for those children who have sewed before or 12yrs+. If the children came to last year’s sewing club this would be perfect for them too. The projects are a little harder – some projects will be over two days to complete.
Dates will be:

July 8-12 afternoons (1:30 PM start)

July 22-26 mornings (9 AM start)

July 29-Aug 2 afternoons (1:30 PM start)

Aug 12-16 afternoons (1:30 PM start)

Experienced/Advanced Class

Ideal age 14yrs – 18yrs | 3 hours per day, 5 days | 3 or 4 projects over 5 days

If they have completed the intermediate class or is a home sewer or 14yrs+ and want to learn more complex sewing skills this would be a good class for them.
Dates will be:

Aug 19-23 mornings (9 AM start)

Surface Design Class

Age 10+ | 3 hours per day, 5 days | 4 projects over 5 days

Surface design for fabrics Camps for Children and Youth. Learn dying and designing fabric prints. Activities will include natural indigo dying and shibori resist patterns, block/screenprinting, and tie dye.

Dates will be:

July 15-19 afternoons (1:30 PM start)

Adult Classes

Age 19+ | 4 hours, one evening | Glass of wine included!

Drinks and Dye

Learn to use Indigo dye with our Head of Wardrobe in an evening class with a glass of wine and supplies provided. You’re also welcome to bring any natural fabrics such as silk, linen and 100% cotton.

July 30 evening (6 PM start)

Mending and Merlot
